Misinformation, Disinformation, and Vaccine Hesitancy in Vietnam

The project "Misinformation, Disinformation, and Vaccine Hesitancy in Vietnam" aims to analyze the factors contributing to vaccine hesitancy in Vietnam, with a particular focus on the influence of misinformation and disinformation. It will examine the historical context, the role of digital and social media, and the effectiveness of governmental and public health responses in addressing these challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. The project contains data on the Vietnamese vaccination program and focuses on the country's public health policy, communication strategies, and vaccination experiences.

Files must be downloaded to use the entire dataset (depositar only provides limited data previews). This dataset consists of two ZIP files, one XLSX spreadsheet, five PDF files, and fifteen JPG files. The two ZIP files contain academic research and documents on experiences propagating COVID-19 vaccination in Vietnam in Vietnamese and English. They are collected for reference in this project, and each article/ research paper/ report is attached with links in each ZIP file. The XLSX spreadsheet is a collection of public health policies applicable to the country made by the author to understand how the Vietnamese government prevented, combated, and governed the anti-COVID-19 campaign. It is used for reference purposes. The five PDF files are a general overview, communication strategies, literature review, and documents and reports regarding the vaccination program. In particular, PDF number 1 is an information synthesis of communication strategy cited from the official websites of the government and the Communist Party. PDF number 2 is the literature review written by the author with detailed citations and references. It is conducted based on the requirements of the project manager to have an overview of Vietnam's public health policy. The author also made PDF numbers 3, 4, and 5, which are summaries of vaccine programs with particular citations. Finally, fifteen JPG files are posters of the government's media campaign collected by the author to create examples of the media campaign targeted toward different demographics in this project.

In its present state, the dataset is presented primarily in Vietnamese and English.
